failing a few classes in Junior year

I’m an international student. I was in public high school in US as a junior/exchange student. But I’d love to study in US and exchange student can stay at public school just for a year so I had to move to private. So I moved to private high school as a junior(again)/international student. It was totally different with public school. My grades in public school were all above 80. But I got really low grades in private school and I even have 2 Fs. I really want to get good grades and I think I don’t know how to study, like the way smart people study to get good grades. After a bunch of discussion and argument with counselor for a few weeks, I decided my life cannot be this way and I felt so bad to myself and my family. Because I gave up most of my part in my home country to study in US and I’m literally ruining my life and that makes me depressed for a month(and still I am depressed). And I heard college see just junior year’s grades. So I’d like to ask y’all if I work really hard from now till my senior year, can I make it to graduate and go to college?

Colleges will see all your grades from Freshman to end of Junior year and many will ask for Mid-year Senior grades. Doing well Senior year can help, but you will be applying Fall Senior year and will not have a full year of Senior grades to show much improvement.

I think you need to focus on how study properly and enlist of the help of your private school counselor and teachers. College is something you need to consider, but you have failed 2 classes, you should put graduating from your current HS as a priority. Have you considered, redoing Junior year?
There a thousands of colleges in the US and you could get into several of them, but if you are finding difficulty in your current HS courses, college courses will only be harder. Give yourself some time to acclimate to your new school and try to work out your issues now. Best of luck.
