Failing AP Calc AB

So I applied RD and UMass Amherst is my goal school.
However I will likely end up with a failing grade in my AP Calc class, I applied with engjneering as my first choice and undecided - natural sciences as my second choice.

This Calc class is full year so I can do well second semester but colleges won’t see that until after they send results.

My SAT is 1320 and my main EC is me organizing and raising funding for a citywide engineering project.
I’m Black male as well, which could help me?

Basically, am I screwed?

If its an F, then frankly yes, you probably are. Is there any particular reason why you got such a low grade? How have your math grades been in the past. I would contact the admissions office if you have any explanation. The biggest question on my mind is how exactly you failed the class.

Absolutely. Math is the king of all sciences.

If you apply RD, UMASS is known for sometimes delaying acceptance letter to AFTER May 1st deposit deadline. To lower your chance of being in that position, i would say talk to your Guidance Councilor and by the end of Quarter/Term 3, have them send a letter to UMASS or even send a updated transcript with term 3 on it to show improvement

It’s only the start of March… why not work really hard and pull that grade up?
