I currently have a D- in calculus and I’m pretty sure I bombed the last test. I’ve been accepted to Cal Poly Pomona and I’m scared that my acceptance will get rescinded.
I’ve taken AP/honors classes my entire high-school career and have gotten Bs or higher. Math has always been my weakness and I’m afraid my skills and math will cost me my acceptance into a college I’ve been working hard to get into.
I’ve exhausted all resources - tutoring, Sylvan, studying, doing assignments, etc.
Contact CPP and ask what your options are at this point. Some CSU’s can be forgiving in you have completed the minimum a-g course requirements, some may recommend you consider summer school and some could rescind you. Better to find out now then this summer after they receive your final transcripts.
If you’re too shy to call yourself, ask your your counselor to call and say, “I have a student who…” without naming names.
you should contact them directly and let them know - now. I’d call, then email to confirm - and create a record of the contact so you can prove your did it later. At this point, they may give you a remediation option, or, perhaps tell you not to worry at all. Even if they tell you they are likely to yank your admission, you will have more time to adjust your plans, get hooked up with a CC, etc rather than scrambling in July when options are few and classes are full.
Your parent or counselor can help but,you really should drive the conversation with CPP.
good luck
