So far on all of the practice tests I have completed for CR, I bomb all the sentence completion q's but ace the passage-based q's. How can I do better on the completion questions without going through an entire dictionary and memorizing all the words?!

elcrew,

I’ll definitely have to try it out! Im desperate!

Memorizing vocab won’t hurt. I just go through online lists and such. If you are really looking to ace the CR section, it won’t hurt to memorize. Although, I don’t advise rote memorization. Almost all SAT words are words you can use in your essays or your daily language. Be sure to learn the context in which the words are used and try to come up with phrase in which the word is used to help you remember it. i.e. acute senses, augmented reality, benign tumor, conciliatory remarks, etc.

Good luck!

Crazy hyperbole, OP.
