What would be a fair price to pay for a studio or one-bedroom apartment in Ann Arbor? How easy is sub-letting in summer/spring? I have never rented a place before, any advices?

Thanks!

BUMP...help please

in ann arbor or on campus? there's a huge difference.

10 minute walk to central...so on campus i guess?

studio.. 600-700 is fair.
1 bedroom.. 700-1000 is fair.

that's what most people end up paying.

And it's not that easy to sublet.

Keep in mind those prices are for fall/winter. If you sublet you should be able to get around 40-50% off during the spring and summer terms. And I personally found it extremely easy to sublet a place. Last year I decided to get a place, found one, and had a verbal agreement in one afternoon, signed the lease a couple of days later.

I was thinking Mr100% had an apartment for which he was trying to find a subletter -- not the other way around. Yes, if you're looking to rent an apartment in the spring/summer, they are plentiful and cheap. If you're trying to get rid of an apartment, same thing -- they are plentiful and cheap.
