Fall '09 Transfer to UNC Chapel Hill

yelena,
I thought I was the only one who couldn’t figure out where to check the status at… this is lame, because now we have to wait until Monday to talk to anyone about it if nothing shows up!!!

Oh, I am happy that I am not the only one. UNC2009, they decided to not put our decision up because they love us so much that they will give us a phone call on Monday.
LOL

We also get some sort of special funding, too, right?

yes. I suspect that when they call us they will say " We opened a trust fund for you so you can go to grad school and by the way, we will send a $5000 check to you in the mail so you can get some cool stuff for you room (food and all) and some nice clothes because you guys are going to travel around the country to recruit students for UNC."

let’s keep the hope alive

Guys, should I email my contact at the admission office to ask if there is someething wrong with my unc page or would I seem to desperate?

i didnt get a decision either; why do you guys think there is a small percentage who didn’t? are there people who know they got rejected?

pkenans If I knwe I wouldn’t be asking on the board and I would have already say so. All we can hope buddy is that our application is under intense review.

There were some that were waitlisted and some that were rejected… so you would think that something should be up for us now. And I was FINE waiting until next week until I saw the blog saying that it was going to be up today… now I think I am worse off!!

did any of you guys answer yes to the questions at the end of the application because I know they look into more detail the questions you said yes to, which usually means it is gonna take longer for you to receive a decision

i just found out i got put on the waitlist

what question gator?

at the very end, I think its called the community of standards.
One of the questions asked if you have been out of school for more then a semester

I answered no .

why?

gator, have you logged into application central lately?

Now that you are admitted has anything changed?

I would like to check mine and see

Guys this is what Julie posted on the blog:

Hi everyone,

I’m posting from home, so I’m sorry I can’t provide any additional statistics. When I return to the office on Monday, I’ll do my best to answer those questions.

We kept a moderately-sized waitlist, but yes, we did deny students.

Log onto your homepage to view your decision. The majority of students’ decisions were posted this afternoon around 4:00, though there is still a small percentage of students whose decisions just aren’t ready yet. This could be because some of your materials were submitted late, or there was additional information that we needed. If your decision doesn’t appear on your homepage, you’re more than welcome to call our office on Monday and we’ll try to track down why your decision isn’t ready yet.

Thanks everyone.
Julie

no, nothing has changed from my application central

Heres an update from Julie for those who haven’t heard anything as of yet

Every year students who have to reveal something on their community standards form get their decisions late. I had a misdemeanor so that was me last year. It took a couple weeks but I eventually got my acceptance, just be patient.

Good night or Good morning y’all

Good luck and my prayers are with you.

Is this weekend going by slow for anyone else?

anyone have any idea how housing works?

Accepted
stats:
school: appalachian state
hs gpa: 4.0 weighted
college gpa: 3.55
SAT: verbal 800 math 770 writing 580

unc2009, is UNC your 1st choice? Will you go there if you are admitted?

I need to add some gas to my clock because it is running to slow.
