Hi, so I really want to transfer to UNC. I have a 3.64 high school GPA, which I know is lower than most of their students' but it was at a very competitive high school that was in NC so UNC probably knows about it. I also took 6 AP classes, 2 my junior year and 4 my senior year and got 4's and 5's on all the exams, so my curriculum was very challenging. I got a 1210 on the SAT, having gotten an almost perfect writing score but a kinda low math score. I have a ton of extracurricular activities for high school, although most of them are in theater.

In college I've made great grades, I have a 3.76 GPA right now. I've taken relatively difficult classes though many have been theater classes and the rest were either history or philosophy classes (I was exempt from freshman english). I'm taking Spanish this semester and also computer science, but overall I haven't taken many core requirements. I'm also in the honors college at my school and took an honors class last semester and will be taking one next semester as well. My extracurriculars haven't been as great as in high school, I've just done some work on some college productions.

I've heard it's pretty hard for sophomores to get in, so do you think I even have a shot? I haven't written my essay yet, but I'm a pretty good writer and I'm hoping that that will help. Comments/suggestions?
