Hello,

I am looking for some direction. So far I have listed the schools I am applying to but I am having a hard time determining which ones are reaches, realistic, or safeties..

Boston College
Boston University
Northeastern University
Villanova University
Clemson
Elon
Providence College
Loyola College in Maryland

In HS I had about a 2.5 GPA..yes, I know this is very weak, but I have an essay explaining why this happened, due to personal circumstances that I experienced in high school. I am so afraid that this GPA will still somehow pull me down.

I went to a very good high school; ranked in the upper top 10 in the state. Most of my graduating class went to schools such as, BU, BC, Villanova, Amherst, USC, Tulane, Carnegie Mellon, etc..

Scored about a 22 on the ACT... SAT scores were weak.
However, I have lots of extra curriculars and I am very good at interviewing.
I also have strong recommendations from my Professors and teachers/guidance counselor in high school.

College work:

Last semester I went to a school which I really did not like (did not offer my major, too far from home, very rural)

So far I have a 3.5 GPA....(from 1st semester)

Second semester I chose to withdraw from my former University and I am now taking classes at Boston College. So far I have been doing very well in my courses and am hoping to average out at least a 3.6 or 3.7 GPA.

I am wondering if having Boston College on my transcript might help improve my chances at schools.

What do you think? Any schools I should add? take away? do I even have ANY shot at getting into any schools I listed?

Thanks, any direction would be very appreciated- the transfer process can be difficult!
