Fall 2011 Acceptances

I have stop trying to figure out why not me … nothing I can do …

@VaGaSi07 the ucla acceptances this year seem so random! all these IB and really smart kids and well rounded kids got rejected at my school. ):

blueberries2: The same goes for my school, my friends are all very intelligent IB students and they were rejected

UCLA is just setting themselves up for failure by not accepting the more qualified applicants.

Couple weeks ago, my Government teacher was saying how the applicants for UCLA increases dramatically every year that there are so much well rounded students they have a hard time choosing for so few limited seats that they don’t even choose based on the whole “SAT, grades EC, etc” anymore. It was random as in just picking out of the list and whoever didn’t need financial aid because of the budget problems

he only took four AP classes throughout high school i feel sorry for those who worked hard just to get rejected i feel like many of you guys deserve my friend’s spot he’s not even planning on going to UCLA. Also, something that bothers me is that my friend who got into UCSD by phone with a 1230 SAT (New SAT) is not planning on going to UCSD but why!!! I’m really depressed.

I need medication for my depression !!!

omg i am so depressed and am feeling very rejected ): i hate that ucla doesnt have a wait list because some people who get in dont even consider ucla as their first choice and end up going to other schools. D:

UCSD is my first choice alkfjdsfapksdjlk

but I don’t think i have enough EC’s.

you guys think admissions are coming out Friday or Saturday. Either sucks if i get rejected: my prom is Saturday night.

Ugh I’m exhausted today and I can’t even nap…stupid nerves :/

I napped for a couple of hours after school, now I am totally depressed !!!

the latest that we will know for sure is saturday, right ???

Yup saturday…I’m guessing if it’s fri, decisions will be 5pm ish, sat, 2pm. my guesses only…

God damn I’m going to be up in the mountains for math camp starting friday aftershool to sunday afternoon…I hope someone will have internet up there…please call me ucsd…

Are they calling all the students who got accepted or only a certain group of students (but seriously a group of students with my friend’s SAT???)

I heard they call random guys, and I am random guy !!!

This thread grows super fast!
I thought they sarted calling on the 17th?!

And about the UCLA thing, I’m an IB student with extracurrics and all that, but nope! Got rejected. I heard something about how students that get accepted to UCLA get rejected to Berkeley and vice versa. It’s just a rumor I heard. Anyways, what’s done is done.

I JUST WANT UCSD TO COME!

@sunfulgirl
whoooaa, i wouldn’t believe what your government teacher said. I know plenty of people who have incomes coming from single parent homes and people who live with only one of their parents. All of those people have incomes of less than $30,000 a year and they definitely NEED financial aid to go to ANY school. (These kids were admitted).

And also, UCLA is a prestigious school that carefully chooses each and one of their applicants. And they’re not a school that is going to just randomly pick out of bag with students who don’t financial aid from the UC System and only grant those people admission to the school. that’s just… yea.

What you wrote could really hurt the people who tried really hard to get into the school, and actually got admitted. because they now might think that the only reason that they got in was that they didn’t need financial aid?? people worked their butts off to get into that school, so don’t treat other people’s acception into the school as if it was something they bought.

@green123098

So are you saying that the people that did get accepted, are not what you consider “qualified”? Just because these people might not exceed your expectations of “qualification into UCLA”, it doesn’t mean that UCLA made a mistake by accepting them. Who knows, they could have extraordinary talents that could be discovered at UCLA or in the future, that you might not have known of as of right now.

Thanks theleakers: i hope you get into UCSD you deserve it… all of you guys deserve it bacause you have been working so hard in high school that you deserve it. I hope to see you guys at UCSD if not i wish you the best look at other colleges. UCLA sucks seriously!!! we don’t need UCLA >…<

ya’ll get accepted anywhere else?

so far i have irvine.
