I received mine today.

I got the email too. Like travelgirl said, it probably doesn’t mean anything.

Just received my e-mail this morning for info on myUW.

They won’t say earlier than March 15-31. They used to do rolling admissions and it was a big mess. They specifically named this time period for this year to eradicate the problems they were having with letting people know earlier than other people.

After you set up your account, I wonder if you can attempt to access the unofficial transcript using a direct link. Since UW isn’t doing rolling admissions, I’m skeptical whether they update those as they go through applications or all at once.

@speedsolver, and what is the significance of this unofficial transcript?

I’m pretty sure they review all the applications first, then make decisions on who to admit.

@wishhope generally the years before according to previous applicants, if your “unofficial transcript” load with your info such as the major that you listed on your application. It most likely mean you got ACCEPTED!

Ah yes, sorry I should have elaborated on that.

@what virak125 said, “It most likely mean you got ACCEPTED!” I don’t recall us (CC) ever finding a situation where the unofficial transcript loaded and the applicant was rejected.

Oh, I found the unofficial transcript but it doesn’t load for me. If you click the finance aid tab or something on the right, it will lead you to this. I wonder when should we start to check on this unofficial transcript thing.

It seems like a good trick but I didn’t upload my unofficial transcript during my applicant as my counselor was going to send it electronically.

So I guess this method won’t help me. :)

the page will not load until a decision has been made. So about a month and a a half more. finger crossed XD i really hope i get in…

@OMGMIT, the unofficial transcript isn’t the same thing as your high school transcript.

This is what it should look like (some info edited) - http://■■■■■■■.com/4flss53

Anyway, it seems like it won’t load until March. Good luck everyone! :)

The interesting question is will it load significantly earlier than you are officially informed.

That is true. There is about a month left before everyone is supposed to receive letters.

So… current seniors, if you can/want, check on the unofficial transcript and let us know if it ever loads BEFORE you receive letters. It would be useful for future applicants to know if the unofficial transcript will ever load before midMarch.

Here is a direct link: https://sdb.admin.washington.edu/students/uwnetid/unofficial.asp

significantly sooner? no. mine loaded on a friday around noon, and I got the welcome packet the next day (saturday)

When I applied, my transcript uploaded mid December and I received a letter two days later (welcome packet came out in January).

I think what wishhope is wondering is whether or not the unofficial transcript will load a lot earlier than when UW sends out letters. They probably have an idea so far on who has been accepted and who has been rejected; they’re just waiting to finish all applications to send out letters. Since they look at applications on a “holistic approach,” they theoretically can’t just say, “all 2100 SAT / 3.7 GPA are in!” using a formula.

There’s probably a ‘switch’ in their system where the admissions officers are triggering after reviewing each application (accept, reject, not sure/waitlist). They just don’t send out letters as they finish reviewing.

Just checked my “unofficial Transcript” at http://sdb.admin.washinton.edu/students/uwnetid/unofficial.asp and I also get an error page. Gah the wait is terrible!

no one is going to see their transcript load until mid march.

I got my email on the 7th too. But I do not see a link to an unofficial transcript. Does any one else?
