I'm one of the lucky few CCC transfers that have been accepted to Haas for this fall.

I have the Haas two year plan in my hands, and I'm planning on choosing my classes based on that.

Of course, I know that first-hand advice from students that have actually completed their first few semesters would be far more valuable, so my question is what classes would be best to take in my first semester? And which teachers are the best to take? I plan on focusing on Finance fwiw.

And just any general advice you guys can throw my way, I'd really appreciate it. Coming from a comm college, I'm definitely a little apprehensive about what to expect.

Based on the [catalog descriptions](http://sis.berkeley.edu/catalog/gcc_list_crse_req?p_dept_name=Undergraduate+Business+Administration&p_dept_cd=UGBA&p_path=l), the crucial prerequisite chain for finance courses in UGBA is 101A -> 103 -> {131, 132, 133, 136F, 137}. So take UGBA 101A as soon as you can, followed by UGBA 103. Then you can take the other finance courses that you want to take.

well what do you want to do in finance is the important question here. if you don’t know, then just go for ucbalum’s advice, pretty basic path.

Marschak or Fitch for UGBA101A?

Aside from aligning your “career path” with the classes that you want to take, make sure to finish the required course work along the way.
