I went back into the system to double check when my app was processed: Application part 2 was processed on Feb 16th; college transcripts arrived February 23rd; HS transcripts arrived March 7th.

Hey all,

I called the admission office two weeks ago, as I didnt receive an email with the University ID. And they hadn’t looked at my application yet as it was lost in their system However after 10 minutes they found it and said they would immidiately push it for review. Can anyone tell me how long you had to wait from the ‘reviewing’ - process to hearing back an answer?

PS. I’m an international student and applied early. Everything was in by end of February.

stu i’m international and my apps and transcripts were in end of feb and my recs were in early march, and i found out 4/2, hope this helps

Again, I want to call but I don’t know what to say lol… ugh this is honestly just so frustrating. I’m seriously in fear of rejection and I did not really expect that.

Well another day and nothing. Now I am worried as I was just accepted to NYU (CAS) as a transfer. I have 3 weeks from today to respond… I really need a decision pronto as I need to make another decision. NYU or Columbia GS (then again Columbia gs= columbia university degree regardless).

Cosmically, I’m in the exact same boat. I just heard from NYU today as well. Time crunch!!

If it comes down to the line, you can ask for an extension to make your decision. I may have to do this too, if GS notifies me soon, as all the other schools notify in early May.

damn you guys heard back rom nyu already? when did you guys apply? what school? I applied to Seinhardt and my application status on albert was just updated today…

By the way, I called the GS Admissons office today and they said that they aren’t releasing EA decisions until two weeks and that since my high school transcripts did not arrive till mid-March it may dleay my decision… This is weird because people have already been accepted.

I think I applied to NYU (Gallatin) in January–maybe late December. I think the person you spoke to at GS misspoke or you misunderstood them because i spoke with them a couple days ago and they acknowledged that they started sending out decisions last week.

Yeah she probably meant another wave is being released in two weeks or something. I definitely didn’t misunderstand though. Thats what she said. I don’t know lets hop we are in that wave…

Thank you all so very much and sorry for the delayed responses.

jmlstern: I received my acceptance package via Fed Ex and I live right by Detroit. A friend of mine applied a couple weeks before I did and heard from GS about four days before me.

Fly1989: Yes, I was able to access the financial aid site.

I hope you guys can relax soon when you receive your phone calls/packages. Shoot me some more questions if you’d like, I was in the anxiety boat myself for a bit there and would appreciate the opportunity to answer whatever I can.

Best of luck and remember that it isn’t nearly over.

Congrats again, smazz.

I applied to NYU- College of Arts & Sciences in early Jan. and sent my MR report out in Feb.I was quite shocked when NYU released their decisions for transfers this soon. It is really early considering others will not hear until May! I have to accept or deny my admission by the 26th of April… 21 days Columbia, hurry up!!

Well, guys, have a great Passover/Easter/weekend and try not to think about GS! Hopefully we all hear back next week!

Guys I just received a phone call that i was accepted and the financial aid isn’t working so don’t freak out about that! Keep your heads up!

I was at community service all day and left my phone home… No miss calls though #foreveralone! Anyways, CONGRATS Jml! =D!!! You should pick Columbia over NYU! What time did you receive this phone call?

Got call at 4:56 just as I was thinking everyone had left for the weekend !!

Congrats jmlstern!!!

Smashing JML! Congrats.

Thanks guys. I’m crossing my fingers for everyone!
