Fall 2012 Transfer - Seeking SERIOUS advice/help!!!

<p>Currently in my first semester at SUNY Albany and really want to transfer out. Solid friends, great weekends, but it's just not my scene.</p>

<p>Here are my credentials</p>

<p>Current GPA: 3.23 (First semester Fr. Year: 3.12; Second Semester Fr. Year: 3.34)
SAT: 1150/1600
HS GPA: 84/100</p>

<p>First in family to go to college
Filipino-American</p>

<p>ECs High School
Photography Club
Young Professionals Mentoring Program (YPMP)
Captain of after-school softball club
120+ hours of Community Service</p>

<p>ECs College (plan on finding more next semester)
Albany's Business Leaders Emerging (ABLE)
PricewaterhouseCoopers xTAX Competition</p>

<p>Internships/Work Experience</p>

<p>Millennium Realty Group Ltd. (Sept 08 - Nov 08)</p>

<p>OK! So my cumulative GPA as of now is a 3.23. I'm assuming I get a 3.8 this semester which would bring my cumulative gpa to a 3.42. I'm finally getting my life together.</p>

<p>I am faced with two dilemmas; 1) I'd like to pledge the Business Frat at my school (Delta Sigma Pi). If I have intentions of transferring, should I hold that off until next year? 2) With all my credentials laid out, where could I possibly end up? Ideally, I'd like to go to a top-15 UG business school. Realistically, I wouldn't mind top 40.</p>

<p>I tried transferring last semester and here are the results:
Syracuse (Accepted)
Butler (Accepted)
IU-Bloomington (Accepted, wanted to go but realized it's not a guarantee im in the b-school; total dice roll when I get there and not willing to take my chances)
DePaul (Accepted)
Northeastern (Rejected)
Bentley University (Waitlisted, then rejected. This was my number one school, and it was really disheartening to not get in which is why I'm trying to much harder now)</p>

<p>Schools I am looking at as of now</p>

<p>University of Richmond (doesn't look at SAT scores, so probably won't send)
Bentley University
James Madison University (does not require SAT)</p>

<p>If you were accepted into Whitman School at Syracuse, go! It gets funding from GE and a host of other corporations. Alumni are great with internships.</p>

<p>Undergrad business is enhanced by the internships available to you. Find the schools that will place you in the position to obtain a good one, and perhaps, turn that into an offer.</p>
