My question is, as a freshmen in college I would say I have a pretty good resume, but my high school GPA and SAT score are terrible. Will that play a role in the adimisions decision and by how much?

I would agree that you have a pretty good freshman resume. :)

Since NU requests high school transcripts and standardized test scores from transfer applicants, you should expect your high school record to play at least some role in the admissions process. Since NU doesn’t have an admissions representative on CC, I’m not sure anyone here can tell you authoritatively how much a less-than-stellar high school record would weigh against your current record.

One thing for sure: if you don’t try, you’ll never know. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much!

If anyone else, has any ideas or opinions, I could also really use it! ThankS!

SAME problem!!! my sat is so bad!!!

Dear All

I am currently a freshman(2016er) in University of Wisconsin Madison, and I do really want to transfer to NU! Here are my stats, and please give me a chance.

My college frist semester GPA is 3.9/4(from UWM), and I wish to apply econ as my major.
Since I only have 44 credits(with APs) at the point transfer, I have to give my SAT score, and I think they are not enough for NU or Emory, so I really worry, because I know first year transfer students, college still will focus on my high school thing.

I am from California LA, a really competitive public high school in that area, and I got around 3.6/4 and 3.95 weighted GPA

my SAT is 1960, 730 math, 570 reading, and 660writing.

SAT2 are 800,800 math2 and chinese, 730 chem

I think I have perfect transfer essay, and two very confidential recommandations from my Chem professor and English professor.

I also have tons of Activities in both high school and 1st year college

for example: AIESCE, CSSA(chinese students and scholars association) and many others, total ten activities from both highschool and college.
I really love NU, and wish to get in, but I dont know, because my SAT is so low, and also how about my chance for Emory?

Really Appreciate !!!

can anyone chance me? really appreciate
