And by the way, when i sign in it says “current award year 2014/2015” along with an “introduction” type of message about financial aid and “lender disclosure”. Don’t know if any of this is relevant, excuse my ignorance!!

@kathy1 You’re in. :)

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted thus far! I applied RD so I have a long way to go. Columbia is my dream school.

Have Just finished my interview…Seems to be good, hope to get in

I got in as well! Applied EA and received a Fedex envelope on 17th & an entrance credit report by email on 18th. I’m originally not from here but graduated from a U.S. art college several years ago; I’m currently working in advertising technology/media in NY, and I’ll study part time towards a second bachelor’s degree.

@pmilmarines The similar message appears on mine too. I called them and was told that I can make a quick visit (or a phone appt) and ask about it. I’m planning to do so this or next week, but not sure if it means anything either.

@chenzheng how was your interview? I had mine on Friday and still awaiting word. I called admissions yesterday though and asked when decisions are to be expected and I was told “from the week of May 1st”. But of course there are several people on this thread who have already received their decisions.

@pocketsqman I just can’t be sure though, it feels crazy to think I really am in, especially without any official confirmation haha. I mean maybe all applicants can sign in to that site? Congratulations by the way, I read your earlier posts and you received admission!!!

For the rest of us still waiting…I hope we all find out soon!!!

@kathy1 Thank you. Be on the lookout Friday or Saturday. Seems decisions usually go out in bulk at the end of the week.

@kathy1 Not bad. AO told me my decision will be made by May,1st and since you can log in the financial aid system i think you have been accepted, congrats :)

After multiple phone calls to Columbia, my suspicions were correct. When they re-dated my application, they failed to re-date it to Early Action.

Supposedly it is barely under review, and they are attempting to put a rush on it. (Not sure how true this is) :)

If I do not receive word from them, they said to call them again on Friday.

Oh my! I need a decision soon.

@pmilmarines and @Beltayn - First and foremost, congratulations on your acceptance. I’m always happy to have Marines around.

There is a cheap shared room/hostel type place specifically for military people that you can stay at. It’s a pretty neat place. Check it out if you need a place to crash:

Any word on financial aid yet for any of those accepted? I filled out the planned enrollment form.

Hey guys once again if you haven’t joined the Facebook page please do so. Many current GS students have joined but we barely have any newly admitted students

https://www.facebook.com/groups/646246172090726/

Once again put Facebook, com instead of the stars.

@kathy1 you are in if you can log in. Congrats

2 days after interview, still have nothing and cant log in FA system…sigh

Have faith @chenzheng ! Sending you the best of vibes. I am still waiting too :)

I called GS admissions today and was told that my application(Early Action) was still “under review and that a final decision has not been made.” I asked when a decision would be made and she told me that I would be notified by the end of this week. I am not sure if this is good or bad.

@tobrwa Hopefully there’s a slot for a Navy veteran, too.

Is anyone applying RD? I see most of you are on the final stretch of the process. I can’t imagine how stressful it must be knowing you will be informed at any given moment. Good luck!

I’ve applied Regular Decision. I applied through the Marine Corps’ Leadership Scholar Program, and my application was complete April 10th. One nervous caveat to that…my application status under test scores received says No, but because I took Columbia’s in-house GSAE, under the test score sections it reflects that I took it and they have Official results. I suppose I just don’t want my application sitting in a incomplete box because the top says no under test scores received. Anyone know?

Also, what are we looking at for turnaround time on decisions for RD? Is it 4-6 weeks as I’ve seen posted here, or 6-8 weeks as the GS website says?

@TomUSMC Best of luck, mate. My and another poster were LSP applicants too (and both got accepted). After lurking around this forum and the other GS threads for the past few weeks, it seems safe to say that 1) if you call the school, they’re going to tell you “soon,” or “4-6 weeks” no matter how far from the deadline you are, and 2) there’s no accurate way of predicting what time you’ll be notified, or exactly how you’ll be notified. Advice: take up an incredibly distracting hobby for the next few weeks. If you’re anything like me - we do share some common ground - you’ll be annoyingly anxious for the next few weeks.

@TomUSMC I think you’re fine. I believe that is for the old scores, if you choose to send them but, since you took the GSAE (like me) then you are not required to. I’m trying my best to stay busy but, here I am.
