Fall 2015 UCLA transfer students

I didn’t catch that one @lindyk8 :-)

Haha @2016candles I’m not really sure what it signifies but the phraseology does not sound especially American. @-)

The UC application is now open to Fall 2015 applicants. :O

Good luck to everyone.

Is it bad that I’m too scared to submit it now? Need another month to polish those essays I spent the summer on as well. Are there any advantages to submitting earlier?

I don’t think you can submit it til November 1. They open them so you can work on it, but you’re not able to submit it until November.

@Bear87‌

You can’t submit the application until November 1st, as @2016Candles said. You have plenty of time to work on your application. Good luck!

I’m pretty sure you can submit now too. Has anyone tried? I’ve been able to work on it for over a month. The system allows you to work on it, enter classes, etc. But now you should be able to submit I think. Let us know if anyone submits.

You haven’t been working in the application. I believe you’ve been working in the transfer admission planner. The application just opened today. They opened it one month earlier than they have a pass to give you longer to work on it. The submission date has not changed from November 1. You have between November 1 and November 30 to submit the application and pay the fees.

Aha! That makes sense, I guess I was wrong. I’ve been entering all my details into the planner. I thought that was part of the application. So it will all transfer over into it?

Yes you can transfer that info into the application. The application will walk you thru the steps.

Damn. I’m crazy nervous for some reason. I haven’t been accepted into TAP yet, should I wait until that happens?

I’m going to throw up now.

Don’t forget to apply to Berkeley guys. We’re #1! :wink:

@ocnative‌

It’s hard to call a school #1 when the campus is filled with bums and dogmatically liberal hippy students. :P

Application submission is month of Nov. TAP submission is month of Sept.
It’s actually an easier process than it seems while you’re going through it @fullload‌ . Think of it like childbirth. :smiley:

Oh yeah, well UCLA now has over 20 swimming pools located all over campus. There’s even one in the parking garage. Take that, Cal!

@Cayton‌

What’s not to love about that? :x

@ocnative‌

Bums are dirty and annoying. :P

And Berkeley has a strong reputation for attracting dogmatically liberal students. I myself am as liberal as they come, but I don’t try to impose my beliefs on others. :P

UCLA does have its fair share of downsides, though. Not as many as Cal’s, but there’s some. :)

@Cayton‌

Lol.

You’re very anti-Cal today. And I’m sure UCLA does have its downsides, but I don’t know them since I didn’t research the school that much.

@ocnative‌

I just joke about Berkeley to screw with you guys who will be starting school there soon. In reality, I have nothing but respect for the institution, and if UCLA didn’t accept me, I would’ve SIR’d with Cal in a heartbeat. :)

UCLA does have some weaknesses:

The school tends to treat students like numbers and not like people.

Traffic around the area is often terrible.

Well, that’s about it for me, lol. Others may have different issues with the school.

I’m in and around Westwood weekly and the traffic isn’t all that bad. I mean, Wilshire can get congested, but you’re only on it for a few minutes. Once you pop into the Village, it’s pretty much a coast to the garages. But maybe that’s just me.
