Anyone know when these are coming out? I know it’s “late April” but I do know that the freshman decisions came out early. So might these too?
Hi!
I am a freshman from Radford University looking to transfer to JMU.
I took 14 credits for my first semester and finished with a 3.71 and I am currently taking 18, and will hopefully finish with a 4.0 for the second semester. I’m taking all the suggested classes but my only concern is my math. I am in a very basic math class and think this might hurt my chances, but I guess some math is better than nothing.
My HS GPA was 3.0, SAT scores… Not even worth mentioning.
This is my second time applying to JMU, it has been my dream school ever since I was a kid (lots of family legacy- don’t think that matters much though).
I heard the decisions are always sent out earlier than expected (mid-april). I have a new link up on my account for financial aid and I’ve noticed a lot of non-freshman transfers are receiving decisions today, however my account has not changed.
Hopefully we will all find out soon! Good luck!
Hi, I got mine today.
What does it look like in the application center when you receive your decision? Can you post a screenshot?
Anybody else hear yet regarding transfer decisions 2016
did you hear anything yet? nothing for me
what was your transfer stats?
Still haven’t received mine yet.
Nothing yet.
hey all, I am a student looking to transfer to JMU from NVCC. I already got my acceptance from VCU on March 23, but I have yet to recieve anything from JMU. I have a couple of friends who heard back from JMU on April 5th so I called admissions and they told me they release decisions in groups. the next group will most likely be next week. So frustrating how they don’t release them all at once or do rolling but ohwell.
Interesting
I hope the groups are not
Acceptance
Then Waitlist
Then Not Admitted
Everyone I’ve head from who heard on the 5th got in…
I asked if the groups are seperated like that and they said it is random on how they pick and choose. I don’t see a reason as to why they would seperate groups like that as other universities do not.
Yea I got in on the 5th. I was notified around 11 am.
I went to nvcc as a business major and got a 3.1. I submitted my app around beginning January so that could be why I found out so early. Good luck!
Also I’m a sophomore pursuing my associates forgot to mention that
ahh that could be a factor. I applied late February a week before the deadline. I have a 3.3 and applied as a Health Science major and will have my assosciates after this semester.
@dennyyi sounds like you have a great chance, good luck!
I received mine on the 5th. I applied under guaranteed admission through VCCS, 3.6 GPA, I think that’s why I found out earlier. Good luck to everybody!
It seems like everyone who has received decisions are all non-freshman transfers. But I guess you can also assume everyone who got waitlisted/denied probably didn’t post about it, which just makes it seem like everyone who heard back got accepted.
I just recieved my decision today. Unfortunately, I did not get accepted but I was offered a waitlist offer. I accepted the waitlist offer and now I have to wait months more…Frustrating
Anyone know if I have a good chance to get off the waitlist? I really banked on getting admitted as I secured roommates and theyre waiting on hearing from me so I can cosign the lease with them for the house in Harrisonburg.
