Got the email, 4.0 CCC. Seems to be limited to top applicants 
I am a 4.0 student coming from a CCC and I didn’t get the email. Kinda bummed.
One year applicant who was invited to apply!!! Does that mean I’m basically in??
Regents invitations mean nothing in regard to admissions. Plenty of people have been invited in the past only to be denied admission.

How are the applicants screened? Is it random? It can’t solely be based on GPA
I got the invitation to apply as well (4.0 philosophy major). Pleasant surprise - I feel as if I actually have a chance for Berkeley’s Regents now. I’ll definitely apply.

Have they always only given about a week to submit the application? Ik it’s a fairly short app but it still feels a bit rushed
Looking at the other replies, I seem like an outlier. Got the regents invite, 3.7 from UCR

On another note, anyone know what percentage of people applying for regents actually gets the scholarship?

@melon12312 I believe about 600 people are invited and around 80 actually get it, I could be wrong

Okay, slight topic change but I was looking at the decision date for transfers in 2011 (the last year they had 5 Fridays in April) and it seems like they all got their decisions on Monday, April 25th. So I’m wondering if we’re going to hear back on Monday the 25th? Thoughts?
@nnatho as it’s been stated before, UCLA generally has posted decisions one week before Berkley (this has been a common trend for the past couple years) and Berkley has announced they will release decisions on the 29th. Therefore we can assume they will release it on the 22nd. I wouldn’t assume they will release it on the 25th since they happened to do that 5 years ago
edit: I see that you’ve edited to mention that was the last time April had 5 Fridays, I still think they will post one week before Berkley
@GirlPower1 I have read this and completely understand the assumption, it was just a thought since there hasn’t been an opportunity for this situation to occur again since 2011. Just throwing it out there!
