But last year, it was announced at May 5th, and the open house is also on May 7th
it was on the 9th last year
@cornell1203 @applicant0123 @ibtes96 @Sam998 @transferind97 I just to clarify: they replied me on facebook. They actually do not know when is the exact date of decision day. They just know that most of the time it is the first week of May.
but it still means that it should be at least several days before May 7th? I can’t see them having the event only a day or two after the actual decision day.
Last year they released decision dates on May 5th, and held the open house on May 9th. So by the same math, we should get our decisions on/around May 3rd… right?
Yes, I’d say so. The open house always seems to fall on a Saturday. So the decisions I also think may come out on May 3rd
Based on previous year’s post, we should receive an email this week notifying us the exact decision date?
I really expect the decisions to be out next week on Tuesday, so the email usually comes out at least a day before.
Hey I’m applying from UVA. How about you? Do you know what qualifications do successful Wharton juniors normally have? I’m so nervous.
@YonceKnowles Was there anything in your application that you felt was particularly strong to help you stand out as a transfer? ie. personal statement or extracurriculars
I am applying to University of Pennsylvania Wharton. Does anyone know when decisions come out?
@YonceKnowles and what other schools did you apply and were accepted to if u don’t mind me asking - just want to see if Penn’s decisions are random or not
@Buttmuncher321 I was accepted to Michigan, Cornell Arts and Sciences, Penn Arts and Sciences; waitlisted from UVA; rejected from Tufts (again lol). I think what helped me get in was that I did NSLI-Y in high school and I study multiple languages in college. Although my test scores were ok I did have a 4.0 both semesters of Freshman year which helped (or rather, 4.0 first semester and 4.0 midterm report). I was just myself in my essays, and I discussed which resources I would take from Penn and how I would incorporate them into my academic/career goals.
@YonceKnowles oooh, were you a Guaranteed Transfer for cornell?
@Buttmuncher321 Nope.
I made a grammatical error in one of my essays lol. Hopefully it won’t be that big of a deal.
So did I Nothing to worry about
Do you have any idea how many wharton transfers they accept each year?
and does anyone know how much harder it is to get into wharton than CAS?
@capemaycrazy it is significantly harder to get into Wharton than CAS. Wharton is the reason that Penn is even ranked so highly
