Fall 2017 Regular Decision Acceptance Thread

Can anyone log into their financial aid portal? Usually that’s an indicator of acceptance. If you can, can you post the date your submitted your financial aid and application.

How do I know my student ID to login?

@chanel2501 I can log into my portal. I turned in my application on may 26th and I turned in my financial aid essay on June 1st. How sure are you that it’s a sign of admission? Best of luck to everyone as we await letters!

@Zconner68 you mean the financial aid portal (https://studentviewer.finaid.columbia.edu/NetPartnerStudent/Logon.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fNetPartnerStudent%2f), or admissions status portal? Did FA ask you for an essay, because I’m not seeing a FA essay was required or a field for it in the institutional scholarship application?

You have to submit a statement not 500 characters for the GS scholarship. @eeehhhh You get it to activate your application. It’s the an ID number starting with a C.

@processfaster can you log in?

I can log in but I can’t see anything except basic information (I didn’t apply for financial aid as I am an int’l student). Is this an indicator of acceptance?

@eeehhhh same. I can log into my fin aid ( I am an international student too but did apply for aid though) but heres not much there. Not sure what that means

@Chanel2501 not to the FA portal, but to the generic admissions status portal, yes. Can you login to the FA portal?

Financial aid may be different for international students thus why you can log in. @processfaster I’m not worried because I’ve looked through the threads over the years and many got acceptances before financial aid was released. It’s a long stretch but good luck to all.

Thanks @Chanel2501. Just curious, what is everyone’s GPA (for those wiling to share)?

Apparently the final committee meeting will be held tomorrow. Good luck guys.

I was accepted yesterday. I applied on the June 1st deadline and one of my recs came in on June 21st.

GPA: 4.0/4.0 (2 sems at a community college)
SAT: Over 1550 out of 1600
ECs: Bad

I think my essay was good, but I haven’t been particularly accomplished in my life so far. Good luck everyone!

I was accepted on the 12th as well. Congratulations @hillsidedesolate, are you going to accept?

@jackiepanda are you sure and how do you know? thanks!

Yes, I’m sure! I received an email yesterday asking again for recent transcripts because apparently something was wrong with the admissions officer’s email and she hadn’t received them, and she urged me to get it back to her quickly because the final committee review is tonight.

@processfaster yeah I was also told the last meeting was today, have not heard back yet though

trust the process

has anyone heard anything yet?

Nope  i keep refreshing email/financial aid/ status page every so oftem but nothing yet
