@Orlando1997 I’m not sure. I only sent mine because it is part of my 60 credits. Without it, I only have 57. If you aren’t in a similar situation, I would say just wait until after admission decision.

One year transfer. Accepted to UCLA as a freshman but failed to meet provisions , so I’m trying again! Best of luck to all of you!
Hey everyone! I’m applying to UCLA for this upcoming fall. First and foremost, good luck to everyone. I’m currently sitting at a 3.5 GPA as a Political Science Major. I have a few questions. Will they look at winter grades when factoring GPA? Im currently taking two courses, and if I get A’s it should boost it up to a 3.57 GPA. My EC’s are pretty good as well. I’m a Veteran, I used to be the voluntary coordinator for my command while enlisted in the Navy. I currently work at Veterans Affairs helping disabled vets find jobs. I’m just worried about the low GPA. It seems like sub 3.5 acceptances aren’t very common. Does anyone know the transfer GPA average for political science? Thanks you guys.

Reason I was a part time student for some of my time was due to Navy policy in which we couldn’t take more then 6 units while in a actively deployed status. I also have 2 W’s due to being called to deploy for 2 months for the Fall 2015. Just wondering how do my chances look.
Chance me?

Honestly, I will completed 64 semesters by this spring in three semesters+summer school. I took 19-20 units every semester so I didnt have time for ECs and wouldnt know what to do actually.

Chance me maybe? :o
@babybear232 Not to be rude or anything, but you have IGETC, major prep, and a 4.0 there’s not much to chance. You should get in. ECs matter much less as a transfer student, and are probably more important for somebody with a lacking GPA.
@Tpw417 Yea, the “4.00 2400 SAT do I even have a chance??” type posts seem to be a permanent aspect of CC unfortunately I just let it meld into the background x3
@Tpw417
Ahh Sorry. I’m also applying for transfer to other privates and most of my friends said that my ECS were really lacking and may impact my admission decisions. And I also have a really poor SAT score of 1900 so we’ll see how it goes I guess. But thanks ahahah.
Quick question (I’m applying next year, but I’m just curious): Does UC look at the (+/-) on your transcript, or do they care only about the letter grade (like would an A- average just equate to an A/4.00)?
They calculate plus and minus in college transcripts.
They look + and - when you enter your grades. So if you get an A- then it will be entered as an A-.
@2017UChopeful @Ohm888 Thanks guys!
@Psychiatrist A+'s and A’s are weighed equally, however.
Hello there, since April is a few months away. Can anyone Chance me?

Hey all I had a quick question about the TAU. When orginally submitting the application I was under the assumtion that I had furfilled the GE requirments at my current school and thus claimed it on the application. However I was told I was one class off, a class that I simply cannot take anymore. Will that affect my admission decision? Did I majorly screw up? Or is it okay because it’s a update that can be changed? I’ve already updated the TAU once for classes but didnt catch this mixup until just recently.
@johnfuentesa i think if you call all the schools and just alert them of the mistake, they can fix it for you. I also made a mistake and the UC and UCLA help desks were excellent at assisting me! If you’re a transfer student from a CCC, the fact that you’d be missing a GE class would probably have some sort of impact on your admissions (If it’s a class on the IGETC or you’d have less than 60 units) I recommend giving the UC line a call though.
I think I will do that. However is there a need even if I can simply change it and update the TAU a third time?
