Fall class schedule

Hi!
My orientation is June 13-14, but I'm already trying to plan as much as I can which classes to take etc.

I was thinking a schedule like this (no particular order):
Composition 1
Astronomy
Intro to Hospitality Management (my major)
College Algebra
& something else, maybe Western Civilization 1, or The Human Species

My goal is to graduate in 3 years (if I can of course)

I took 4 AP exams (Spanish Language, Government, Statistics & Macroeconomics)
and am hoping to pass at least Statistics and Macroeconomics because I felt most confident in these 2.

Also I might want to take some CLEP exams that can give me credits for UCF, such as College Algebra. I took the math placement test and got into "Trigonometry and Precalculus" but my major only requires college algebra so I'm not sure what to do.

Don’t take astronomy your first semester. It’s hard. People think it’s easy but a lot of people end up failing/withdrawling. College Alg is easy. The MALL hours blow though. You have to do 3 hours in a lab each week. It was pointless for me because i finished my work in an hour tops. Class is required and you have to sit with groups that they don’t tell you after the first few weeks. I didn’t take the other classes.

The recommendations by the math placement exam are the highest level of math that you can start at. You can take just college algebra if that’s what you want to do, but you can’t take a higher level of math than trig/precalc.

Also, if you can find Professor Long, for any anthropology class take him (Human Species is an anthro class).

After having to drop and then repeat Astronomy, only to fail, I found a great professor at Valencia so signed up as a transient student and took it there. Try Wafaa Khattou over there. Awesome.

Oh no don’t tell me this :frowning:
I’m taking it with Cooney, but I don’t wanna drop the class since it fits perfectly into my schedule !

Sry. He was the one. But that’s just one experience…

Three of my friends took Astronomy with Cooney last semester, and they ended up with like two A’s and a B. As long as you don’t write it off, go to class, do the homework, and treat it like an actual class, I wouldn’t worry.
