Probably say you have lost your mind (jk, but thats what they will be thinking). Usually decisions are kind of final. I have seen parents call and argue the hell out of it until they finally gave in; but the rarely happens.

i also got a triple in broward, which i'm not too happy with since it wasn't one of my preferences and i sent in all the required forms on time. does anyone have any info on the layout of a triple in broward? or pictures? i've tried looking but can't seem to find anything.
thanks

lol, i was thinking of saying i either have ocd or general anxiety disorder and i couldnt possibly share a bathroom with a whole floor... (too extreme?)

well, i once argued with the financial aid office and they gave me an awesome aid package...may be itll work with housing?

Temp triples and perm triple have different size rooms. Temps are the same size as a doubles and perm are a a little bit bigger than doubles.

What would you like to know?

**Remember murphree area dorms dont have elevators.

are there single rooms in any of the dorm halls?

also, are there any bus line/routes anywhere the graham area that would get you to the southwest gym?

is there any way to know beforehand whether i have been assigned a permanent or temporary triple?

[/quote]

Yes, I think every dorm has a single, but they are few in number (so one floor will one have one single) The biggest singles are in Buckman/ Thomas (and they have numerous singles in them).

Yes they is one right between simpson and hume (on museum rd.). There is also one on Gale L. Dr. (aka center dr.) which is right in front on Graham hall.

All I know is that my friend had a permanent triple in East and its a big room, plenty of space.

The rooms in broward, that I saw, were all temp. triples. Which is simple three beds instead of two, one is a set of bunkbends.

Call the front desk and ask. Preferably between 8am-4pm (M-F) because the senior clerks are there at that time and they know the most about it. But you can call now and get an RA or DA and they will answer (some RA/DA's are more knowledgeable than others).

You can get the numbers here:http://housing.ufl.edu/housing/Facilities_index.htm

You have a housing contract for Fall 2007/Spring 2008 and as a result, YOU
ARE GUARANTEED space in campus housing for Fall & Spring Semesters.

As we assigned incoming students to space in Housing Application Date
order, the housing preferences you requested were already full. Instead
of assigning you to another space, we are waiting to make your assignment
until we receive expected cancellations. Therefore, assigning you after
we receive some cancellations MAY improve your chances of being assigned
to one of your housing preferences. Sorry, it is too late to change
preferences.

The delay in sending your room assignment is only temporary! Please be
assured that YOU HAVE CAMPUS HOUSING for Fall 2007/Spring 2008. Our next
room and roommate assignment notification will be sent on June 30 after
we receive additional cancellations from other students that have been
assigned to a room.

DO NOT interpret this email to imply that you should secure off-campus
housing for Fall/Spring. We appreciate your understanding and patience
in this process and look forward to you being a part of our community
and The Gator Nation.

Nope. I know many that did just fine. Which one did you get buckman or thomas?

thomas first floor.

Thomas is also by sections. Hopefully you got the corner sections, the rooms are HUGE. You can probably fit 4 people in those rooms.

The worst time will be august, sept, some of nov, and beginning of may. The rest of the year is great. You also save ~$1000 living in thomas/buckman, since cost is so low. You become a little more sensitive to the cold. You classes will sometimes make you feel like your freezing.

So does anyone know about Simpson Hall? I have two roommates, so is this a permanent or temp triple?
