I was waitlisted, and just recently got into the program, even though the housing app and the course selection form deadlines passed already. So now I need to rush and pick my classes.

Can someone tell me what it is that I need to take? I have no background experience or anything because I wasn't expecting to pick classes until spring semester. I'm a MBC major in L&S.

According to the websites, I can get into EnglishR1B with my AP scores. Is this recommended, or do I need to take R1A to complete the set, so to say?

And for math, I probably got a 4 on the CalcAB exam. Does this mean I should take Math1A?

And for the breadth classes, do I just take whatever courses are listed under the bio sciences major?

*** Remember this is for the Fall Freshmen Extension Program, not the normal fall semester classes.

You can try to get some required courses out of the way, since we don't really get good bio/chem classes. In fact, I don't think we can take Chemistry at all. So, you could take something like bio 33, or just take some unrelated breadth to fulfill the L&S requirements. 4 on the CalcAB should mean Math1A. Hope that helps.

don't skip math 1a unless you have a really good grasp on it. I hated my math 1b prof she was hell = on our midterms she would take 9/10 points off a problem if we made a mistake on math 1a material.

Not true in FPF. FPF screens out the terrible/not so desirable professors every year based on student evaluations. It seems that they took our advice and got ride of last year's history 7b professor :). He was simply terrible at teaching.

Skip math 1a, take math 1b with Smith. You will not regret it. That is, if there is still space left in his math 1b class at this point. If you choose to trust me, you will have a wonderful math 1b experience.

I didn't even take CalcBC, and based on how I felt about the test, I didn't do as well as I would have liked on CalcAB. Are you sure I should just skip on to to Math1B? And there's a Smith listed as teaching Math1A, although I don't know if it's the same Smith as you're talking about.

mizterg, it's the same professor. Go with math 1b, and after 1 or 2 weeks you can switch to math 1a (same professor) and still not miss much because you already know the material.
