We were checking out upcoming tour dates for these bands, and found that they will be performing in Milwaukee in the next couple of weeks at someplace called the Eagles Room.

Is this a place where Marquette students go to for concerts? It said all ages enter, but 21 to drink, so I'm hoping it's geared towards college students.

Are there venues near campus that students can see bands, hopefully, within walking distance?

This was always a fun thing to do when I was in college, and son is looking forward to same.

Oh, Montegut, absolutely! The Rave/Eagle Ballroom is just a few blocks west of campus (and the LIMO will take you there.) My daughter was just there to see OAR and when her little sis visited, they went there to see Jason Mraz. Over 21s need to show ID and get a wrist band for alcohol, but under 21s are welcome to the show. For many shows, they pass out free tickets all over the AMU (the Union, that is.)
There are many other music venues all over Milwaukee, too, including the Pabst Ballroom.

Thanks, dbwes! Glad to hear the limo goes there! Free tickets will be nice, too!

Do you know anything about the Late Nite Marquette activities I see on the website?

Also, what about movies on campus? My son is a major movie buff, and will be president of the movie critics club as of next week when the seniors graduate!
