I've already e mailed admissions about this but was wondering if anyone who recently applied would know: if you are applying early action, will Georgetown consider your fall sat or act scores?? I was planning to take the act again in September, but some places on the website say that they will only consider tests taken in junior year. I also read on the website that they'll accept the scores if they make it on time. Help??

Yes, they will consider the scores from senior year if they get them in time to include them in your file for Early Action. Personally, I was able to get them my results for the October SAT in time for Early Action. However, the office will not guarantee that the senior scores will be read, that’s all.

pswb, did you request to have your October scores sent to Georgetown when you signed up for the test, or did you have college board send them after you saw what your scores were?

Actually, after I saw the scores. I think it just has to be done the day that the scores come out- you can’t procrastinate on that. As a matter of practice, I only sent scores to schools once I has seen them. I just didn’t want the risk of sending a bad score- a few dollars is well worth the cost.

Thank you, pswib! I totally agree!! I just didn’t know if that would delay the process too much. I know that Georgetown discourages you from rushing the scores.

No, it shouldn’t. Definitely don’t rush the scores though. Granted, I don’t know with any certainty that they saw my October scores, but I’m assuming that they did. I was told by an admissions counselor during the summer before my senior year that, “Georgetown will get October scores in time for Early Action and will include them in the review.”
