Fall Semester done, what's your outlook?

<p>Hey all,</p>

<p>I'm sure all of you have completed your Fall semester. I'm currently a freshman and let me just say that transition to college isn't all that bad. But I'm a little disappointed with the grades that I've received so far. I originally aimed for a 3.8 minimum. But now I'm holding out hope for a 3.5.</p>

<p>Currently at NYU and I intend on transferring to Penn (CAS) or Cornell (Human Eco.). I will be receiving really wonderful recs (H.S. English teacher and Chemistry prof), excellent EC, and will have convincing essays.</p>

<p>So how are you guys doing?</p>

<p>Expected college to be more chanllenging. Ironically I'm as well a bit disappointed with my gpa, hoping for 3.8+, got a 3.71. Going for cornell engineering.</p>

<p>I expected better and more classes, better professors, and more engaging students.</p>

<p>fall semester was tough but it flew by. im lookin forward to coasting though next semester and getting the hell on to a four year school. woo!</p>
