I’m currently a freshman at the University of Maryland College Park. I’m trying to transfer to UW-Madison in the fall. I
got a 3.8 first semester and will have 24 credits at the end of this semester. I got rejected applying to of high school but what are my chances now? I’m out of state as well.

Have you taken a wide range of courses (math, science, social studies, humanities…etc?) <-- that’s important!
Do you participate in any extracurriculars? <-- very important!
Work experience (internships)?
How are your statements? Are they rememberable/well-written? <-- important
ACT scores? (submit if high, don’t submit if it won’t help your application)
Recommendations? (optional but could help)
The school takes these factors into account, and they will base their decision off of that
