<p>I would like to attend a community college starting january 2010, i will also be going to school in the fall of '10. If i fill out the fasfa at the beginning of January can I get the aid i need for school Jan-May '10 as well as the fall '10-summer '11 year?</p>
<p>The FAFSA you need to complete for January 2010 aid is the 2009-2010 FAFSA as Jan 2010 term is during the 2009-2010school year. Submit that ASAP to your community college. It is available to submit online now.</p>
<p>The FAFSA you need to complete for Fall 2010, is the 2010-2011 FAFSA which won’t be available for filing until January 1, 2010. You will send that one to the school(s) to which you are applying for fall 2010 admission.</p>
<p>You need to do both…you will not get aid for different school years by using only ONE of the forms. You have to do the form that goes WITH the school year for which you are applying for aid.</p>
<p>i looked at the fasfa website and it said the deadline for 09-10 school year aid was June 30 2009 and is no longer available.</p>
<p>2009-2010 FAFSA is available till June 2010. Anyone applying for aid for the 2009-2010 school year (which includes spring 2010 and possible summer 2010 depending on the school and whether they include summer in the next or preceding year) has to complete the 2009-2010 FAFSA. The 2010-2011 FAFSA (which not available till January 2010) can not be used to award aid for the 2009-2010 school year.</p>
