filled out my tap and pell and was selected for verification....two colleges won't process my financial aid award package until i submit documentation...w2's,income tax, bank statement, separation document

I have all my documents except my parents separation...My parents have been separated since 2005. Can anyone give me suggestions? How am i suppose to proove my parents were separated if they didn't get a legal separation/divorce he just moved out of the house.

Rainsplash, why not call the office of financial aid and ask them for guidance...they will have a solution for this surely. Perhaps evidence of a different address for your father will be satisfactory, or perhaps some other documentation.

BTW don't worry about verification, we were selected every year; it's a very easy process and there were never any problems.

thanx i will anyone else have any other suggestions?

Since your parents are not legally separated, you may be able to supply the school with a written statement, signed and dated, by your mother. Contact the FA Office and let them know the specifics of your parents situation and they will be able to tell you what substitute documentation would be needed.
