My daughter is a junior in high school and we are looking at Fashion Design programs. She is considering programs in schools like Parson's or FIT and also programs at Syracuse , Drexel and other more mainstream university settings. Wondering if anyone has had experience with making these choices and has any input on Fashion Design programs or can suggest any programs that don't immediately come to mind.

I think FIT has programs with more "mainstream colleges" Definitely had with SUNY/Oneonta, might check if that still exists; if you go to Welcome to SUNY - The State University of New York and search for "fashion design" as a program FIT programs will come up as "2+2" program with another college. Syracuse is definitely good for fashion marketing.

Check out University of Cincinnati. You are probably wondering, why there? That would have been my reaction; however, they not only have a very strong program, but they have some killer coops with the industry.
