I’m a freshman at community college taking general education courses right now, and I was wondering if anyone on here knew anything about the illustration and communication design AAS programs at FIT? I’m shooting for the 1-year comm d program since I have a lot of gen ed courses under my belt already. Sadly, they don’t have a 1-year illustration aas program, so i’ll have to see if I’m able to transfer in as a sophomore in their program. I’m in a predicament because I’d rather major in illustration, because I’m better at drawing than designing, but I’m open to learning new things so I can become more versatile in art & design (I find motion design very interesting and would like to learn that) and also I heard the communication design program is much better than the illustration program… Like, job prospects are better, etc. Is that true? Also, I have to decide soon whether I wanna major in either program because you can only apply to either one.
