<p>Hi, I'm going to be attending FAU in the Fall but I'll only be 17 when I go there. Are many of the parties or events there 18+? e.g. the Freshman Foam Party. I don't wanna miss out on those fun stuff but I'm afraid I'll be too young to get in.</p>
<p>You’ll be fine. There’s no age discrimination. This goes both ways for the young and the old. Don’t worry about it. Just keep in mind that in college the age group ranges. Either way use your best judgment when it comes to partaking in events where there will be those that are 18+ even 21+.</p>
<p>A lot of freshmen are 17. That shouldn’t be an issue and on-campus events like the Foam Party, as McNiki pointed out, are sponsored by Student Government. They don’t discriminate on age but they will check that you’re legitimately an FAU student before allowing you into certain things - that was an issue with the Foam Party because it was bringing in too many random people from off-campus so they started really enforcing the Owl Cards.</p>
