Favorite music?

This should probably be in the cafe but what do you guys like in terms of music?

Lately I have taken a great liking to Coldplay and U2. I have always been a fan of John Williams and many times I like to listen to some of the older Green Day songs. Classical music can also be good...

So what do you guys like?

I believe there was another thread that was all about music. I don't remember who started it though.

I started the thread, it's called "Music Suggestions"

I like MOSTLY everything.

I've recently been taking a liking towards classical and jazz. I also dig a lot of oldies. Not a fan of todays music at ALL. Oh well...

I'm totally into Post-Hardcore/Progressive Metal/Experimental/Avant-Garde stuff. Lately, I've been listening to some bluesy stuff like BB King. Other than that, I can't really listen to anything else. =P

Coldplay and U2 are good. Viva la Vida = Best song of summer '08.

In terms of more well known stuff I'm really into Nirvana, Weezer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and some rock (ACDC...sometimes Hendrix)

I'm listening to a lot more solo artists now; Damien Rice, Bob Dylan, etc. etc.

I guess I should just come right out with it: I LOVE showtunes. I have a box full of songbooks and sheetmusic, it's all over my computer, and also was on my mp3 before I stepped on and broke it.

I like buying soundtracks as opposed to anything by a specific band or artist (Into the Wild, Romeo + Juliet, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Juno), but I do really like Chris Rice, Relient K, Hawk Nelson, and Superchic[k]. I'm into random songs by the Hush Sound, Fiona Apple, Melissa Etheridge, Garbage, Janis Joplin, AquaLung, Depeche Mode, and the Jonas Brothers.

It's hard to pin down a single genre, as you can see, lol!

oh i love viva la vida, great song.
i listen to mostly alternative, pop, some country, and r&b. but not a lot of songs have come out this year that i like too much yet.

i hate this part by pussy cat dolls and halo by beyonce. im addicted to these currently. or womanizer :)

oh i love beyonce, she has an absolutely amazing voice.
sometimes i find that pop songs seem to have little or no actual meaning to them, and that sometimes disapoints me, as i love the beats to a lot of them.

yep she does. i hate single ladies. it's really sloppy and it repeats itself. looks like she wrote it in a minute

I think I've heard like one song by her. It seems like a lot of pop songs today are written partially with emotion and partially for the fat check they'll be receiving when it gets famous. That agitates me.

i agree soccer. i mostly like the slow pop songs.
single ladies gets a bit annoying when you've heard it a lot on the radio. (which it seems to paly every 30 minutes) however, i guess it could help someone get over a bad breakup? lol, idk. i like the music video dance though, wish i could dance like that. [x

I love the songs by Glen Hansard and Marketa Inglova, they're from the movie "Once." My favorite would have to be "Falling Slowly." :)

I listen to just about everything. Or a little bit of everything. Jazz, Classical, Classic rock, pop, oldies, etc.

but MCR and the Ting Tings are awesome.
and Bon Jovi
and Stevie Wonder
and Michael Buble
and The Beatles
and anything else I can think of...

I just watched Forrest Gump!

All Along The Watchtower

Anything with JIMI!

I just watched Tropic Thunder. It was hilarious!

Tropic Thunder was awesome!!

I heard that it's terrible.

It is... but in the greatest way possible. It's dumb, but oh so funny.
