So this is so totally not the coolest, hippest thread in the world. But I thought I'd ask this, because I think it's fun. What's you're favourite era, time period in history? It can be as long as a few centuries, or as short as a decade.

I love the American Progressive era. I love every single thing about it. I wish I lived back then. The student teacher for my US history class was an Anthropology major, which was awesome; even though she was a bad teacher, we spent the entire semester on the progressive era. I may not remember much about Herbert Hoover, but I know everything about John Dewey and Clarence Darrow.

I've always loved the 60s and 70s. Well, I probably wouldn't want to live back then, what with Vietnam and all...but the art/fashion/movies/basically all the pop culture from back then is incredible.

I've also always been very interested in the World War II era.

I love the Renaissance and the Medieval times.....what else?.....hmm.....Age of Exploration......1500s =D......i don't like everything after the late 1800s

The "Roaring 20s" + the effect of the Depression really interest me. While I, personally, do not want to live back then, that's the time period that I love studying.

I wouldn't want to live in most of these time periods, but I love studying:

WWII, Medieval and Renaissance Eras, American Revolutionary War, Just before and during the Russian Revolution in 1917, Ancient Greece, and I'm sure there's more I can't think of at the moment...
