Febrary ACT 2012 Reading Discussion

That’s all I can remember for now… -ugh-

so I remembered 6 on prose, 6 on humanity, 4 on ss, and 2 on natural science… wow and natural science was my second favorite passage…

@NCdukie, I wasn’t 100% sure on that one.
I used POE and had two choices left.
This one seemed more plausible for me, so I chose it xD.

i got all the same ones except for the minnie question…

i think i ended up going with “she handed him back the photos” or something because it didn’t say that they were in a relationship, just that he was in love with her…? maybe i missed that? idk lol

what do you guys think about the comedy question on what “it” referred to.

It had to have been either his partnership or that particular sub-in performance

were there two it questions?

i don’t know, i was stuck between the two but went with the partnership because it said:

“it started when he was missing his straight partner for the night.” (something like that)

‘he’ was referring to rocky, so i said the partnership… stupid question though imo.

ugh yeah, tricky

we need more people for this cuz i cant remember any more questions.

I just put two more answers in.

They’re coming to me bit by bit.

This is probably my limit though.

Did anybody else say like “Ignore them and talk about two successful constitutions” for the one that asked how he responded to the questions

no i got that he illustrated many of them and gave like multiple answers? idk

@somewhere,
yep! that’s what i put but that was one of the two i wasn’t sure one entirely

@greenmamba20,

I’m pretty sure that was NOT the right answer. We’ll see in a few weeks though :)

Do any of you remember more questions?

Let see

There was the salt desert section,one on that woman from that country,the one about the “straight man”, and the one on the constitution

For constitution it asked all of these Philadelphia did have EXCEPT which? The answer I believe was the hierarchy of aristocracy of something of that nature.

I remember the answer to one on the salt desert, was that all three rats have high level of urine concentration, i think?

It shifted from chenopods(those plants) to the three rodents.

I say the passage was about animals and plants that survived in a hostile environment or something of that wording for question one where it asked what the passage was about?

Also for the same passage, it asked what did forbidding mean in the context of the passage? I said ecological, cause the passage about a ecosystem that was hazardous to most creatures.

Nope. My memory isn’t very good. When will the scores arrive?

I don’t know if we should post questions, since some people are taking the ACT tomorrow(religious exemption).

Arctk3: I didn’t choose ecological because see def below.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ecological

I put ecological.

Look at the last definition, “environment.” Ecological = Environmental = the right answer.

@ugotserved834: But ecological doesn’t mean “forbidding”.

@Frisbee what did you choose then?

@Frisbee it asked what did Forbidding mean in the passage, it was talking about a ecosystem know as a “salt desert” which would be inhospitable to most plants and animals, wouldn’t an ecosystem like that be forbidding to most living things, so wouldn’t the answer of what it meant by forbidding mean ecological?
