February admissions

Does any one know when February admissions come out?

Last year they came out Friday Feb 10th, so most people are expecting this Friday the 9th.

This must be for Regent’s/Chancellor’s admissions, correct?

From what I’ve seen, yes it is and some just early admittance too without the Regents or Chancellors; just top applicants.

Thanks!

Does anyone know the specific time in the day?

Are you sent an email?

I’m pretty sure you get an email about an update on your portal and there’s another recent thread that I think said theyre posted in the afternoon (not positive). This is just for Berkeley though, every UC does it a bit differently.

Last year’s “early decisions” went out on Friday, February 10, 2017. If Berkeley stays on the same schedule, this year’s “early decisions” should come out this Friday, February 9, 2018.

According to one source, Berkeley admissions just released a note to college counselors stating that a “small number” of applicants will be admitted in February. The note stated that last year, 13% of people who were admitted by Berkeley were notified in February, and the majority of these were candidates for Regents or Chancellor’s Scholarships. Another way of looking at this, is that 87% of the people admitted did not hear until the end of March.

This year, regular notification day is set for March 29. If last year is a guide, as people have written, early notifications would go out on February 9.

According to the Daily Californian, Berkeley admitted approximately 15,500 freshman for Fall, 2017. Using the 13% figure, that means about 2,015 people received early notification, but 13,485 did not. These people were, however, still admitted in March.
