Early acceptance to UC Berkeley

This Friday I was notified that I was selected for early admission to UC Berkeley to interview for the Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship. I was wondering if this is something Cal does every year, and if so how many people are admitted early? I didn’t even know that Cal offered early admission to students.

Traditionally they have admitted Regents candidates in February. I think this year they expanded it a little.
