Hello everyone. First of all, thank you for helping me out.
I’m currently a grade 12 student that just submitted my application to Stanford. I was unaware that you had to send in your whole damn application if you’re submitting an arts portfolio by December 1st. Luckily, all my essays were finished and so everything was okay (I hope). Now, I’m just wondering if I could send in a late ACT score.
I took the ACT in the October of 2016 (and I’ve sent that already) and I did pretty terribly…high 20s…so close to 30 though…like so close (if you are wondering, I threw up on the morning of the test and felt really light-headed for the rest of the day…Yes I know…the stomach flu sucks).
I’m planning to redo it in February because I missed the deadline for the December one and I know that I can do a lot better. Do you think that Stanford would look at my late scores though? Because I know that the latest for them is December and also I don’t want to spend my money to do the test again if they aren’t.
Thank you all for your help!
Stanford probably won’t accept February scores (I believe on their website they state the latest you can take the test for RD is January), but you won’t know for sure unless you call them. Last year, when the Northeast was hit by a horrific blizzard the night before the January SAT everyone’s test was delayed to February, and my friend (who is currently a freshman at Stanford) was able to send in her SAT II from that test. Of course, that was a special circumstance, but you can always check to see what their policy is.
