Federal Loan/Website issue

<p>Dave Berry posted on the financial aid section here about some issues with the newly designed federal loan website. Apparently students are unable to access it to make loan payments, and one person posted that her auto withdrawal had NOT happened and loans were listed as "delinquent". I'm posting it here in the parents forum to see if anyone here has had a problem, and if so, when and how did you solve it.</p>

<p>My son's October payment was withdrawn as usual (before October 5). BUT I am concerned that this issue might not be resolved before his November auto withdrawal is due.</p>

<p>Anyone?</p>

<p>My son has not reported any problems in paying his. But I think he does his by phone (he does not like the idea of automatic deductions from his bank account).</p>

<p>Apparently students who have been trying to pay by phone or online have been having trouble with payments. </p>

<p>My son’s October payment went through fine…hoping they have this “fixed” by the November date.</p>

<p>Well, the good thing is he is ahead on his payments as has been paying 50% more than he needs to every month trying to get it paid off more quickly. So even if a payment does not go through, he won’t have any late payment problems. Though I am sure he will be very irritated.</p>
