Fee Waiver offer?

I received an offer for fee waiver from an ivy league school, I’m not sure what they based this on, since I didn’t apply or contact them in any way. so I’m wondering what this means. they said that I should contact the chair of graduate studies so that he can monitor how my application is being processed if I apply.

do a lot of people get these closer to the deadlines?

how does my chances of admission change, if I apply? (I wasn’t planning on applying, but I went to their website and read through some of their programs and courses, and I’m kind of interested - I’m also really busy for the next month or so, and another application probably means 2-3 days wasted in my case, being a perfectionist).

Thanks in advance!

Yes a lot of people get these notices for waiving application fees during the end of the fall semester.

I doubt your chances of admission would be any different than if you would have applied without using a fee waiver.

I just read somewhere that the GRE people forward the scores to some schools. I don't know what it means, though.
