UNCC is one of our choices for in-state colleges for Engineering program.I am looking for feedback on their engineering program, internships and job prospects.
We couldn’t find much information online, their ranking for engineering is not that great compared to other tier 2 research colleges. The college counselor mentioned their engineering programs are impacted programs and very competitive.
My son has this down as a safety.
It is a good school and I know many that attend UNCC but not the engineering program. They all love the school.
Which specialty is your son looking at? Their civil engineering department is pretty good. However, it is still an R2 school.
Don’t get too hung up on rankings. Affordability, fit and outcome should be more important IMO.

https://amspub.abet.org/aps/category-search?commissions=3&countries=US&states=NC says that UNC Charlotte has civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering. Other NC publics with larger selections of engineering majors are NC A&T and NCSU. Some other NC publics have one or two engineering majors.
What are your son’s interests? We are in CA, but this school was on S23’s list for a while because of its strength in motorsports. If your son is interested in automotive engineering or motorsports in general, it would seem to be a great option. https://motorsports.charlotte.edu
