Anyone have some good suggestions to get me pumped and confident for a certain four hour test tomorrow?

"We are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You" by Queen, duh lol
Word on the street is an easy 200 point increase if you listen to the songs before the test.

epik high - fly

it's in korean. but it's so energetic & fun and pretty haha (:

"Remember the Name" - Fort Minor
"Move" - Thousand Foot Krutch
"Voices" - Disturbed

Well, the first thing on the SAT is an essay. I find that for writing an essay in 20 minutes, I need a really clear mind. The first 5 minutes are purely for thinking and planning what to write. Dunno, got me a perfect score :)

Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing to F*** With
Wu-Tang Clan

Angry fight songs are good, but I stick with my advice to avoid music altogether and keep a clear mind.

If I feel like it...i'll make a mix tonight and post it up.

i rock the dance-party style of pump up music...

don't stop believing- journey
the real party- mary mary
anything by jamiroquai or chemical brothers
no tomorrow- orson

listen to 'em while you wake up/get ready/sharpen your pencils.
on the way there, turn on some sigur ros, or something classical, or anything else that won't get stuck in your head.
and oh, bring snax. more snax than you think you'll eat.

good luck!

I'm a little superstitious about standardized testing, so I have to say I agree with Mallomarcookie. If you feel you absolutely have to listen to something, be sure it's nice and soothing. Try a "sounds of nature" CD. The chirping of birds and the roaring of ocean waves have an extraordinarily cathartic quality. They help clear your mind, ameliorate your anxiety, and lift you up if you feel overwhelmed. Nature CDs, as silly as they might sound, are more helpful than material such as Queen, etc. because you don't end up feeling like you're forcing yourself to be pumped up. With nature CDs, you just relax and let the music/sounds take you over. As a result, you'll feel refreshed and ready to go tomorrow morning.

Happy listening!

thanks for the suggestions. . . this is mostly for tonight, and hopefully to get me energized in the morning, since I pretty much lack a pulse at 6 AM.
I just want to be in a confident, happy mood. Good luck to everyone else taking it!!

I can't listen to music before tests because I always get them stuck in my head, I took the Math II Subject Test in January and I had Fergalicious stuck in my head the whole test because my friend was playing it in the car as we drove there. The sad thing is I've heard it so many times I know most of the the lyrics so I was sitting there quietly singing Fergalicious to myself the whole test haha. I still got an 800 though, maybe Fergie helped, I dunno :o
