Good Songs to Study To - List them!

Here, I'll start it off. I need song titles! I'm trying to make a playlist to study to.

Upbeat:
Xit 2 Nowhere

Classical:
Cannon in D Major

Hmmm. Alot of stuff by Fiona Apple would be good. I love the way her voice sounds.

Extraordinary Machine, O' Sailor.

i like studying with music that is umm beat-y..? Like, ones where i can tap my feet and stuff.

I like to listen to most songs by Muse (hysteria ; plug in baby ; time is running out) and Placebo (every me every you)
I usually dont like listening to rap and hiphop but I like that song by Ciara - my goodies, and i like that 1,2 step song also (i think that's with missy elliot..?)

And i'm not a pop-py person either but there's thing really good song by Mandy moore - only hope. It's a christian song (im agnostic) but it's surprisingly peaceful..

Music distracts me from studying, personally, since when it's on and the text is in front of my face, I'm either spending energy blocking the music out from my mind or just enjoying the music and not studying. If you have to study to music, however, I recommend........

Hit em up by Tupac

lol jp. great song, though.

try some classical or if you really want some quality stuff get some Go-go in your life.

I don't study, but i do sleep! i need music to fall asleep, and i listen to

Sade-her voice is so unique, i love it, but it puts me to sleep!!
Maroon 5- may just be me, but i love this cd, and when i sing along for a while i fall asleep
Radio- turn on the jazz station or some talk station, you'll doze off right away
Lunesta- not music, but you'll def fall asleep! don't use too often, or you'll get dependent like me.

Norah Jones!

Chopin - Nocturne in E Flat

i love that song.

oooh, norah jones!! yes, cd sucks, but the single is so good. the rest of the cd is good for sleeping. i love sleep. i'm going to make a sleep thread!

i have the hardest time listening to music when i have to read something for school, so i tend to go the classical route (no lyrics to get distracted by). my favorite is bach. when it's math or science though, where i don't have to focus completely on the words, anything goes, from the beatles to aqualung to living things to ronnie day, plus anything else i can find.

I normally put in a mix, but mostly up-beat music. OK Go, PANIC! at the disco, cherry monroe, something corporate...all good.

Muse is wonderful...I discovered them freshman year when I was working on an english exam paper (ah, it was 4am...) and I was looking up "muse" mythology, and I came across the band...I needed something, so I downloaded it...Plug in Baby and the such kept me going until 7am. I owe that band my A exam/semester grade. haha

Lots of classical - primarily Rachmaninov (concerto No. 3), some Mahler, a little Bach. Muse is fun and I'm so glad to see people who agree :) Dunno about using them for studying though, seems like it would be somewhat distracting (guitars etc) unless it's Sing for Absolution or something.

Um. What else. I have a tendency to listen to soundtracks, but quality ones are rare. The Halo OST is good, surprisingly. Black Hawk Down, Gladiator.

Neomax all the way!! Its such a cool song to study along

anything by the calling

Brahms Symphony No. 2 in D Major
Rhapsody in Blue, Gershwin
Liszt

And my mp3 folder, with music in Chinese, English, Japanese, and French.

Parachutes and A Rush Of Blood to the Head by Coldplay
Norah Jones

sigur ros, album leaf, broken social scene, radiohead, mogwai, muse, etc are all on my study mix

It depends on the person but for me:
Math related- metallica, iced earth, demons and wizards, yngwie malmsteen, anything fast. I find that when I listen to fast music I start working out the math in problems faster lol

languages- none, If I read and listen to music I start mixing up the lyrics into the text and endup having to read it twice.

Ruff Ryders Anthem

Anything by Panic! At The Disco.
