Feeling a bit hopeless :(

So you guys I'm a junior in high school, and I've just received my ACT score and I BLEW it! In a bad way. I made the following:

Composite-19
English-19
Reading-17
Mathematics-17
Science-22

I know I'm going to HAVE to retake it, because it is unacceptable for what I have always wanted to become in the future (Plastic Surgeon-looking at it now..not so much). I made this thread for some NEGATIVE feedback! I don't want the "oh you'll be fine your going to do better next time just study!" What I'm asking for is someone to tell me where I stand from here, "Am i looking at being a janitor my whole life or the doctor that kills patients"...well i don't know just tell me whatever i feel like my dreams have just been crushed because a some number thats so important :/

You’re going to have to spend all of your miserable existence scraping gum off of Detroit benches just because of this ACT score.

Now that the requested negative commentary is over with, I’d suggest that you take the SAT. It’s not uncommon for people who do poorly on one to do well on the other, since they test different areas.

Eh don’t worry about it. It’s not too hard to improve your ACT. I got mine up 4 points in a a month in a half from just practicing. You can do the same.

The negative comment you desire: OMG, the end of the world.

Now: Life is not over. Practice, you are still a junior, work on the SAT or the ACT either one.

Plastic suregons don’t need perfect act scores, they need perfect skills. And your ACT does not == your (potential) skills. It’s just a number
