Feeling incredibly down... will I get accepted anywhere?

So basically, long story short, community college was my time of many, many mistakes as opposed to improving from high school. I went through my “partying” phase, my “not being able to juggle work with school” phase (longest one), my " emotional distress" phase, and I’ve gone through a “bite off waaaaay more than I can chew” phase. Last semester, I had 16 units and 2 jobs, for instance.

Anyways, I feel almost completely stuck… I wish I could go back in time and redo community college.

My current GPA is a 2.71, I’ll be taking 3 more classes Spring (one of which is a class I’m retaking) and probably another over Summer, which means I could change my GPA a decent amount if I really, really do well. Maybe up to a 3.0?

I don’t know if CSU’s look at SAT scores still, but mine was in the 1600’s, high school GPA was a 3.07.

Worst part is, I recently changed my major to computer science. It’s not impacted at CSUN but boy does this GPA not fly.

I really, honestly just want to get into CSUN and have a fresh start. Do I not stand a chance?

As you have stated, your college GPA is probably not going to get you into Northridge. So, you either need to retake the cc courses to improve your GPA (you know this too), or set your Baccalaureate sights a little lower.

@thatoneguy555 have you applied anywhere yet? Do you think you can get your gpa up to 3.2 - 3.4 by the end of summer? If so, your best bet is tagging to one of the mid tier UCs like UC Irvine or UC Davis. Tag guarantees you admission, as long as you have all prereqs done and can keep your gpa up.
You are obviously struggling, why would you change your major to something as demanding as CS? What was your major?
