Feeling mentally slow..

<p>I don't sleep that little (atleast 4 hours a day), but everyday I feel tired and ridiciously stupid. During the summer I have quick reaction time and can think decently but right now I literally cannot remember what I read and thinking is really difficult.</p>

<p>Does anyone else experience this? I literally feel mentally retarded and no one else seems to be affected like this in the same way as me. I occasionally play chess to get a status on my mental health and sometimes it takes me 4x as long to think the same way as I would another day where I don't feel as tired.. I'm not sure why I require so much sleep to function, but anyone else have similar issues where you just feel plain dumb when you go to school and nothing seems to click unless you spend significantly longer periods of time on something then you usually would? And you make stupid mistakes on tests? I need some reassurance because I feel like i'm collapsing alone. :'(</p>

Seriously, you just need to sleep. Last year, I just accepted the fact that I was stupider than everyone else, but over the summer, as I paid off all my sleep debt and slept like 158297594527349 hours a day (like 10-12 ish hours), I felt completely normal again.</p>
