Feeling out of place at college

allyphoe,

I was also the most liberal person i knew in high school and now I’m the most conservative person at this college that i know. Maybe it’s because i’m from the south east? Are you also from the south east?

Do you think things will get better after orientation?

Can you think of some other reasons you might want to change the style of seating participants are accustomed to?

We could at least sit on chairs like adults or not have the meetings at all.

And oh, please. Do you really think “Student didn’t like sitting on the floor” is a valid reason to cancel orientation activities?

Sorry, I was unaware. How do I close this thread or close this account?

And actually, this is my first account. I lied about having multiple ones so I wouldn’t be accused of being a troll.

Why should we trust you now?

I’m from Oklahoma. Same sort of thing.

Orientation is always a gamble. My friends’ orientation advisors told them about all the cool unofficial events going on off-campus, and my advisor was a trans person who gave us an hour long story about the discrimination he/she faced

Just sit in the back and play on your phone or something.

You can’t sit in the back in a circle (which might be the point).
