Fellow CCers: Do you wear contacts/glasses?

Wow I thought I was the only rare one is the -7ish range. I wonder if it’s because of this generation’s constant reading.

You gotta pity the one’s during primitive times without vision correction. I couldn’t live/see a thing w/o my contacts

Horrible eyes, I do hate. Like -8 and -6. Sad. Hate being near-sighted.

-7.25 and -5.75.
I’ve been wearing contacts/glasses since I was two years old.

Yep. My eyesight is really unbalanced, it’s like a -1.25 in one eye, -4.25 in the other. I am also really bad at putting contacts in.

Glasses for me, though I hate wearing them.

In 3rd grade, I faked bad eyesight because I thought glasses were cool.

Now my eyes suck. My left is pretty awesome but the right is HORRIBLE.

Contacts frighten me and my parents think I’m too irresponsible for them. I’m turning 17 in less than a month, smh

I wear contacts only for soccer games and important meetings where I need to see far away. If not I use my glasses at school to see the board. My prescription is -2.25 and I have astigmatism. I feel as if glasses and contacts are the most uncomfortable things, they bother me.

glasses -3.50 and like -3.75 and getting worse, even with glasses the stupid overheads are getting hard to see at school >_> probably is because of all the reading i did last year, almost constantly, then i got a laptop and it was that and reading. i have to up my lenses every year since freshmen year (im a senior now)

contacts. -1.75 and -2. i don’t know how some of you wear glasses, contacts are beyond easier and less annoying.

^Yeah, I wore glasses for 5 years and switching over to contacts was the best decision of my life.

Wore glasses for 4 years. Switched to contacts for 2 years. This year I don’t have the effort to deal with contacts, so I’m back to my glasses.

I miss contacts so much!

contacts look better but require more attention. when i’m up late and tired, my eyes get dried out and contacts become really annoying, so I’ve stuck to glasses for a while now.

glasses for me, though I would love to get get contacts :/

I wear glasses.
Only one eye is messed up.

Contacts, not too bad really. One eye’s 3.75 and the other is around 3.0 I believe. Had them since seventh grade without a problem.

glasses, only one eye is bad.

but I forget to wear them at least two days out of every week

I wear both, and my left eye needs a a stronger prescription than my right

Contacts, -9.50 on both.

Glasses -1.25 from 7th-11th grade
Now, as a junior, I wear contacts -1.50
Honestly I don’t really need to wear contacts; I can just wear glasses during class, but I don’t like wearing glasses.

I’ve been a nerdy glasses wearing kid since 2nd grade;)
I tried contacts briefly but got too lazy to put them on in the morning, so I went back to just glasses.
But now I’m doing a lot of sports so I think I’ll get contacts again. Can anyone inform me on the approximate costs of contacts?
