<p>forgot my number also. I normally just wear glasses, but I wear contacts when I do sports.</p>
<p>Astigmatism…my eyesight is truly horrible.</p>
<p>My contacts are -7.5, -1.75.</p>

<p>I don’t know my numbers in the sense of a -7.5 or etc. But I am legally blind and I have at least a 20/400 vision =_=</p>
<p>One eye is nearsighted and the other farsighted. Together, they cancel out so my vision with both of them is 20/20, and I don’t have to wear glasses or contacts.</p>

<p>I’ve worn contacts for a little over a year now. My prescription is a -5. :/</p>
<p>I have an astigmatism in both eyes and wear glasses usually, contacts occasionally. I have no clue what my prescription is but it’s pretty strong. I trade glasses with my friends sometimes and they have to take mine off as soon as they put them on because it’s just that bad. I’ve only had one friend who’s blind enough that their glasses had that effect on me.</p>

<p>It actually might be better, but they never test past that. I’m the only person in my family with good vision. Even my seven-year-old sister wears glasses. She’s been wearing them since she was four.</p>
<p>I used to read a TON and now in high school I read a lot for school and study a lot…but still perfect vision. I’m blessed. My entire family wears contacts/glasses but me. Makes no sense.</p>

<p>@AUgirl: funny, my brother somehow got tested and got 20/15 (better than normal) so maybe some doctors do test for that?</p>
<p>@quomodo I suppose some do… but every doctor I’ve been to (including eye doctor- my mother’s paranoid that I’ll need glasses) has never tested me past 20/20. There isn’t really a need to though.</p>

<p>Every year since 2nd grade it went down at least -1.5,
until 6th grade when it was at -6 (legally blind!)…
In 7th, 8th, and 9th grade it “only” went down -.5 a year.</p>
<p>My eyesight is bad. My left eye is a -8, and my right eye is -5.75. I usually wear contacts, but I really like my new glasses.</p>
